Maria - 1st time mom

“Laura has a special way of making me feel held and supported during such a vulnerable time in my life. She takes all questions with an open heart and mind and has made this a positive and joyful experience! She has the intuition for her clients that somehow her check-ins always seemed to be at the times when I needed some extra support but too caught up to reach out myself. She had the words when I couldn’t find them, and was the listening ear I needed when I felt alone. It was the care I didn’t know I needed going into postpartum but so grateful I had once I was there. A true blessing.”

Dale - 2nd time mom

“I think that every single mom should have this type of support. Even if you do have mom friends because it's different (with every baby), but ESPECIALLY if you are the first time mom of your group or don't have a lot of mom friends. If you are considering investing in yourself for this life changing time - do it. You will not regret having the support of Laura in your corner during this amazing, crazy, overwhelming, amazing time. Her ability to hold space, support and educate you all at the same time is a gift.”

Alyssa - 1st time mom

"Laura helped me avoid the google anxiety spiral and find the joys in each day. I’m so lucky to have her support and have truly felt held throughout such a vulnerable, transformative, and beautiful time. Thank you for walking with me, putting me first, and teaching me how to do the same. I can wholeheartedly say that every new mom deserves this level of support, and I’m so excited to see how many lives Laura changes with this work."

About Laura

I hate small talk, so let's dive right in. To be blunt? Becoming a mom ROCKED ME.

I had an unexpected NICU stay after my first daughter was born, I ended up in the ER at 5 days PP with something completely preventable, was the first of my friends to become a mom, lived hours away from our family and friends, my husband traveled for work 3-5 nights a week, and I silently suffered from undiagnosed Postpartum Anxiety because I had convinced myself I just had to try harder to enjoy it all. That somehow, I was the failure.

So when I got pregnant with my 2nd, I was determined to do it differently. This time? We had the local support and family nearby. I found a perinatal therapist, enrolled in a postpartum stress program, and had all the lactation knowledge under my belt as a CLC and BFing mom.

But despite all of the people around me and all of my expertise? I still had 9 weeks of feeding struggles that had me making and attending endless amounts of appointments, doing all this research on what was “best” for my baby, and still felt really alone. I kept thinking, “I wish I had someone in my corner just to support me.”

So? In true overachieving, eldest daughter fashion… I created what I wish I had.

Since then, I have been obsessed with all things taking care of mom. As a NICU nurse, certified lactation counselor, mom of two young girls, and with my perinatal mental health certification, I am on a mission to make sure we provide Mom First Postpartum Care and Support here in Delaware, and it starts with building this Mom First Membership.

At the end of the day, I'm just a girl raising two babies, living in my 30s for the first time and that's the vibe I bring to this community—a blend of lived experience, empathy, expertise, and a no-BS big sister energy to support you inside the wildest ride of your life as you navigate postpartum and early motherhood.

I'm a 90s millennial mom obsessed with oat milk lattes, Beyonce and Taylor Swift, and overthinking almost every parenting decision I make. If that's you too? You're the perfect fit for The Mom First Membership and I can't wait to see you there.

Mom First is about showing up exactly as you are… tired, messy bun, milk stained sweats… all of you is welcome here.
